Isaiah 53:4-5 “Surely he hath borne our griefd, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smiten of God, and afflicted. 5 “Be he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

The word of God shares with us that Jesus came not just to be beaten, spit on and rejected. But everything that he went through had a purpose. The beatings, whips, the crown of thorns were all to bring and minister healing to our wounded souls.  When the crowns of thorns was pushed down on his brow and the blood flood, it was for the transformation of our minds, the healing of our thoughts and torment of our minds. That peace that surpasses all understanding. So the thorns they thought was to make fun of the king, but it was for our peace of mind. When he was whip on the back it was for those things behind us, past sins, hurts and pain. We can be healed from our past and set free indeed in Jesus. Then they turned him over and whipped his front, that was to heal us and deliver us from present and future pain, hurt and dispair. We don’t ever have to worry about pain and hurt he paid for it all.  These are just to name a few, he has done so much for us. Today we are already healed. We just have to believe and receive the finished work of Jesus Christ. Healing is also a process, especially when you talk about the affairs of the heart. But nevertheless you are healed. Pray without ceasing, share your heart with God and another, confess your faults one to another that you may be restored, healed and made whole.

Be Encouraged.
